The Full Story
Welcome, I’m Meli, a yoga teacher and yoga therapist passionate about creating nurturing spaces where people can breathe, move, and reconnect with themselves. My journey began long before I formally trained; yoga slowly became the thread that wove clarity, grounding, and creativity into my life. Over time, that passion naturally grew into a calling to share the practice with others.
I teach in community settings across South West London as well as in small, intimate groups in my home. My classes blend my love for flowing movement, somatic exploration, breathwork, and meditation. I enjoy creating playful and expressive sequences that invite you to shake, dance, and move freely, while also offering gentle stillness, mudras, chanting, and therapeutic practices when needed. Whether you’re seeking soft, mindful movement or an invigorating flow, I shape each session to meet you exactly where you are.
Before dedicating myself fully to teaching yoga, I trained and worked as a dentist. That path taught me precision, care, and deep listening. Over the years, I have also immersed myself in yoga therapy, working with people navigating physical or emotional challenges. These experiences continually inspire my approach: compassionate, accessible, and rooted in the belief that everyone deserves to feel at home in their own body.
When I’m not teaching, you’ll often find me practicing karate, running, playing tag rugby, or diving into my interesting books about neuroscience. Movement and curiosity are part of who I am, and they infuse everything I offer.
